Counseling That Meets You Where You Are
Illinois has no shortage of therapists, but finding one who's actually a fit, who takes your insurance, and who has openings can feel like its own full-time job. You search, scroll through profile after profile, send a few messages, and still aren't sure who's right for you. At Lotus Counseling Services, we offer virtual counseling to individuals throughout Illinois, and we take the guesswork out of finding the right fit.

In Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, there's no shortage of therapists, and that can actually make the search harder. With so many profiles, specialties, and approaches to compare, many people spend weeks weighing their options or give up before they ever book a session. More choices don't always make it easier to choose.
Outside the Chicago area, the challenge often looks different. In places like Peoria, Springfield, and the smaller towns of central and southern Illinois, therapists with open availability can be harder to find, and the closest office may be a long drive away. Virtual therapy gives you the same access to care no matter where in the state you live.
That's why we don't hand you a directory and leave you to sort it out. You tell us what you're working through, what you're hoping for, and what fits your schedule, and we match you with a therapist whose approach lines up with your needs. Our therapists support individuals through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, burnout, and more.
Sessions take place through a secure, HIPAA compliant video platform, so you can skip the expressway traffic or the drive across town and join from home, your office, or anywhere private. When therapy fits into a busy week, it becomes a lot easier to keep going.
We accept Anthem, BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon, Ascension, and many EAP plans. Private pay sessions are available at $150 per session for those who prefer not to use insurance. If you have questions about whether we take your plan, reach out and we'll check for you.
Not sure what kind of therapy you need yet? You don't have to know. Reach out, and we'll help you figure it out from there.
